Overview
In EZTrack360, you can easily assign calendar events to specific team members or customers. This ensures that responsibilities are clear and events are well-organized. Additionally, you can filter the calendar view by assignee or customer to quickly find relevant events.
Steps to Assign Events
1. Open the Calendar
To get started, click SCHEDULE in the left sidebar, then select Calendar. This will open your calendar view.
2. Create a New Event
- Click on a specific date in the calendar to open the Create Event dialog.
- Alternatively, click the Add Event button (identified by a
+icon) in the calendar toolbar.
3. Fill Out Event Details
In the Create Event form, complete the following fields:
- Title: Enter a name for the event. This field is required.
- Description (optional): Add additional details about the event.
- Start Time: Specify the start date and time for the event. This field is required.
- End Time: Specify the end date and time for the event. This field is required.
- Location (optional): Add the event’s location if applicable.
- All Day?: Use the checkbox to mark the event as an all-day event, if appropriate.
- Assignee: Use the dropdown to select a team member who will be responsible for the event.
- Customer (optional): Use the dropdown to assign the event to a specific customer, if relevant.
- Color: Choose a color for the event from the available options (e.g., blue, red, green) to help visually organize your calendar.
4. Save the Event
- After filling out the details, click the Create button to save the event.
- If the event is successfully created, you will see a confirmation message, and the event will appear on the calendar.
Filtering Events by Assignee or Customer
- At the top of the calendar, locate the Filter by Assignee and Filter by Customer dropdowns.
- Select an assignee or customer from the respective dropdowns to display only the events assigned to that person or related to that customer.
- To clear the filter, set the dropdown back to its default value.
Editing or Reassigning Events
- Click on an existing event in the calendar to open its edit form.
- Update the Assignee or Customer field as needed.
- Make any additional edits, then click Save to apply the changes.
Tips for Assigning Events Effectively
- Use colors strategically to categorize events (e.g., by department or priority).
- Double-check start and end times to avoid scheduling conflicts.
- Keep descriptions clear and concise for better understanding by assignees or customers.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues while assigning events, try the following:
- Ensure all required fields (e.g., Title, Start Time, End Time) are filled out correctly.
- Verify that the selected assignee or customer exists in your database.
- Refresh the page to see updated calendar data.
If problems persist, contact your system administrator or open a support ticket from SUPPORT in the left sidebar, then select Support Tickets.
